Music beyond borders

Ensemble Coexist brings together professional musicians from different countries, cultures and religious traditions – Jewish, Muslim, Christian and Druze.

Founded in 2023 as an initiative of BIRD e.V. in Dresden, the ensemble demonstrates through music that peaceful coexistence is not just an ideal, but something we can experience together.

Our concerts create space for encounters, dialogue and mutual understanding – building bridges between people beyond political, cultural and religious boundaries.

Experience Ensemble Coexist

From Dresden to Europe

Since 2015, BIRD – Bündnis Interreligiöses Deutschland e.V. has brought together people of different faiths and backgrounds through its interreligious peace concerts in Dresden.

Building on this experience, Ensemble Coexist was founded in 2023 to carry the message of peaceful coexistence beyond Dresden.

Today, the ensemble forms the musical heart of the European Peace Network – connecting concerts with local encounters, interfaith dialogue and lasting partnerships across Europe.
